Join your neighbors for Oktoberfest. This event is still in the planning phases, but we plan to have various German brews, brats and other cuisine from Urban Chestnut, a band and other entertainment for neighbors of all ages.

7-9pm Lizzie Webber in concert. Lizzie is an Ames place neighbor who is extremely talented. She has played all over the world and with Grammy winning artists. www.lizzieweber.com (more about the artist is in the photos below and on the website)
as always, the musicians are not being paid so please consider tipping $10-$20 per person.

Holiday Event & Carriage Rides

Pershing Park
Celebrate the holiday season with carriage rides, carolers, hot chocolate and s’mores on a bonfire. Please bring a snack or holiday treat to share. Beverages will be provided. Carriage rides run from 4-6pm
Chili Cook-Off and Hayrides
Saturday, October 20th, 4-7pm
Pershing Park
Bring your award willing chili to the annual Chili Cook-off! Parkview provides hot dogs and beverages. There will be a bonfire for roasting marshmallows and making s’mores. Horse drawn hayrides will run from 4-6:30pm

Horse & Pony rides will kick off our outdoor Fun! All ages are welcome - adults and children can enjoy! Watch a family friendly movie on a giant big screen. We will have a popcorn machine. Bring your tents for the kids to hang out in. Movie begins at 8:00pm. Beverages will be provided, bring a snack to share.
Summer BBQ

Washington Park
Enjoy hamburgers, hot dogs and beverages with your neighbors. You bring a side disk; we provide the meats and beverages. There will be a snow cone station and a petting zoo from 4-6 for the kids to enjoy.
SPRING BULK COLLECTION
The week of April 9-13 is the time trucks will make one sweep of each Parkview U. City Street to collect old furniture, mattresses, carpet or broken appliances. All acceptable items must be placed at the front curb by Sunday night, April 8. Acceptable: furniture, bedding, cabinets, doors/windows (all glass must be wrapped in cardboard), rugs, washers and dryers, refrigerators, small air conditioners, televisions, and carpet.
Not Acceptable: Hazardous materials, commercial items or business equipment, yard waste, tree trunks, logs, building or construction type debris/materials, tires, auto batteries and motors, railroad ties, barrel drums, concrete, bricks, landscaping stones, boulders, rock, dirt, or household trash.

SPRING EGG HUNT
Saturday, March 24 at 3 p.m.
Pershing Park
The Egg Hunt will begin promptly at 3pm
and go in flights by age:
Ages 0-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9 and older
Bring along your best home decorated baskets and wear your best home decorated bunny ears. After the hunt there will be a judging for the best basket and bunny ears.
The Parkview Horticultural Society will have a table set up with a spring craft. Please bring a snack to share with your neighbors if you are able!
Volunteers are needed for egg stuffing and hiding as well as volunteer contest judges needed, if you would like to volunteer for either please email Melissa Leuthardt at melissa_arning@yahoo.com.
